1940s Dutch High Back Rush Chair
Crafted in the Netherlands, this 1940s Dutch high back chair, in the style of Bas van Pelt, features a solid elm and oak frame with its original handwoven rush seat and three-panel rush back. The tall back, gently curved armrests, and clean architectural lines create a sculptural profile while maintaining a warm, natural character.
Condition
Kindly note that the chair is in vintage condition, exhibiting signs of age and wear. The original rush seat and back remain intact with minor fraying, scattered wear, and a few small losses consistent with age and use. The elm and oak frame shows light surface scratches, scuffs, and finish wear, particularly to the armrests. The chair is structurally sound and presents well overall. While we strive to capture the most significant marks in our photographs, some minor imperfections may not be pictured. For further details, please speak with one of our team members at shopkeeper@lostine.com.
