Sales + Marketing Manager


We are looking for an energetic and organized person who is eager to be a part of a growing team. As the Sales + Marketing Manager for RTO Lighting you will work directly with our trade and retail clientele and assist in nurturing those relationships by providing our clients with a luxury experience.  You will assist in visual marketing for the brand and work closely with the design team to ensure excellence in communicating the vision for the company.  The right person will have excellent verbal and communication skills, high energy and a results-driven mindset, as well as an eagerness to learn.  Experience and passion for interior design, retail or the home furnishings market is expected.  A passion and knowledge of social media, online shopping and current trends is expected.

Our Sales + Marketing Manager will have a sense of personal style, a refined taste and an astute eye for luxury.  Our Sales + Marketing Manager is expected to deliver first-class service to our clients and customers both online and in person.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities


  • Handle all client inquiries, quote requests, and order processing via email and phone
  • Grow our trade business by establishing new trade client relationships and providing those clients with a luxury experience
  • Host clients in our showroom. Introduce and educate prospective clients on who we are and what we do.  You are expected to represent the RTO Lighting brand through communication and professionalism
  • Sending clients finish samples as needed
  • Data and order entry
  • Answer office phones
  • Provide product expertise to our clients and customers
  • Monitor the lifespan of an order to ensure it is on time and delivered safely to the client
  • Acts as a liason between the design teams and marketing teams for the company
  • Communicates with clients regarding custom projects
  • Support miscellaneous day-to-day operations as needed
  • Participate in team meetings that may include:  
    • Sales
    • Marketing
    • Design
    • Production


  • Communicates and maintains the vision for all of the company’s branding materials including:
    • Various physical packaging
    • Logo + packaging design
    • Other various forms of branded collateral
    • Photoshoots for lifestyle and product photography
  • Assists with creative strategy
  • Uphold brand aesthetic standards, contributing to brand evolution as required


    • Ability to work on multiple projects of various scope at any given time
    • Highly organized
    • Experience in interior design, luxury retail, or customer service is preferred
    • Has a passion and is proficient in social media trends, channels and practices
    • Computer literacy is required. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications.
    • Experience in a B2B environment
    • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom is a plus
    • Photography experience and expertise is a plus
    • A background in marketing is preferred
    • Has a love for online shopping and an understanding of a luxury virtual experience
    • Coachable in learning about our marketing strategy and learning new tools to improve our practices as a small business
    • Ability to work across teams with a collaborative approach
    • Commitment to quality, detail focused on all levels
    • A professional sense of problem-solving skills
    • Eager, can-do positive attitude and a self-starter
    • Ability to think outside the box and create unique social and marketing strategies
    • Experience in and knowledge of Ecommerce is a plus
